Centro de Investigationes Energ�ticas M�dioambientales y Tecnol�gicas (CIEMAT), is experienced on all activities linked to the nuclear fuel cycle and in particular on radioactive waste management, storage and on radiological characterisation both using destructive and non-destructive methodologies. CIEMAT gives scientific and technical support to ENRESA. The Radioactive Waste Unit of the Nuclear Fission Division of CIEMAT has a long experience in the radioactive waste characterisation and treatment of low and intermediate level waste and provides a link to the ongoing decommissioning efforts on the Vandellos GCR.
